When The World Hands You Lemons

Juggle them,
make light of the situation

by tossing each one
into the air,

by judging them incapable
of sustaining flight

without having first
spent time in your hands.

thanks
it was a fun one to write
i am partial to the ending myself

it was just one of those
"what if" realizations that turned into a poetic opportunity

This feeds my investigation into personal pride. The connections between us all. So thank you.

I am totally out of lemons at the moment too. A situation I rarely allow to occur. And so in need of lemony goodness :-(

Very simple poem but the verses are very thought provoking....When the world gives give the bitter (sour, unsweeten) things, transformed them by experiencing and going through these "lemons" and you will be the better and more wholesome person because of these things......I can think of James Chapter 1 of the Bible!!!

interesting alliance
can't say that i've been likened to bibilical text before. or, at least no one has said it to me before.

i like the comparison.

thank you

Wow. Fun.
Our hands are such significant parts of ourselves. I wish there were more poems about hands.
